The course aims to develop trainees’ special competencies which will enable them to successfully control and organize short activities for student groups to improve their socialising skills. Trainees should try out some freely chosen educational situations, techniques and methods to enrich their professional knowledge and develop their personal efficiency. Trainees should participate in school life to develop their cooperation and communication skills (cooperating with colleagues, parents, student organisations). The course also aims to develop trainees’ professional knowledge and commitment by making them plan special curricular activities, plan programmes based on scientific data and participate in innovation activities.

Tartalom angol

The trainee should perform three of the four activities described below to obtain three credit points. The trainees’ activities are controlled, supervised and assessed by the school-based mentor. A: Leading a form master’s class The trainee leads a form master’s class on their own, which might contribute to strengthening a child-centered view, the development of communication, conflict management and cooperation skills. The tasks to be performed include personality and community development, forms and methods of keeping contact with parents, health education, youth subculture, conflict management, lifestyle education, career counseling, citizenship awareness, activity, national identity. The trainee observes the classes as well as leads them. B. Child - and Youth welfare tasks Trainees should get the deepest insight possible into the general and specific child - and youth welfare tasks (prevention, detecting situations of potential risk, warning, help in solving the problems). The participation in the different activities will make trainees become even more sensitive to understanding the problems of disadvantaged or vulnerable children and will also help to strengthen their own sense of responsibility. • Trainees study then participate in the institution’s child –and youth welfare activities. (Possible activities: observation, partial cooperation, keeping contact with parents, case management, counselling). • Trainees should organize a complex programme in accordance with the current child –and youth welfare activities of the school. Trainees try out various methods and techniques, such as: lectures, quiz, counselling, charity event, lecture for parents, etc. (Suggested topics: Vulnerable Youth, life-death, crime, aggression, drug prevention, lifestyle management, addictions, etc..) C: Organising a school event The aim is for the trainee to enrich their professional knowledge and attitudes based on personal experiences by taking part in the organisation of a school celebration. The course aims to help trainees to get an insight into and gain experience in the methodological and technical conditions of organising and managing different school events. For example: giving information, organising a forum, expressing opinions. The practical tasks should be appropriate to the practice school. • School celebrations, for example students’ day, commemorating national holidays, Fresmen’s Day • School media: magazine, radio, TV, chronicle • Drama club, sports events, student reunions, • Quiz, trivia quiz, competitions, OKTV • Special Days, Earth Day, environment protection programmes D. Participating in Student Government activities The course aims to prepare trainees to help student government work and also aims to enable them to control, and manage the work of those student groups which actively participate in forming student public life and school democracy. • The trainee gets involved in the activities of student organisations temporarily and gets an insight into the work of it • The trainee works out suggestions to make the work of the student government more effective with special attention to one particular aspect • The trainee takes part in organising and managing a school program taking into consideration the theoretical and methodological characteristics of the command of the student government. • The trainee initiates a program in cooperation with the student government in connection with topics such as student rights, student agency, enforcement of interests. (Forum, on-line forum, on-line conference with students from sister school).
