The students shoeld get familiar with the antropological and psychological basis of human economy underlining the tension between „homo oeconomicus” and „homo sociologicus”.

Tartalom angol

In the centre of the course is the anglo-saxon utilitarism and the elaboration of its moral economic questions. In the 20th century the works of Maw Weber and Károly Polányi represent the main sources of moral economy. In the second half of the past century the global problems and the ecological crisis proved that the economy based on ridig self-interest and profitmaximisation got into crisis. The latest representatives of moral economy reflect on this new situation and try to make a balance between ecological and economic points of view. (Kindler, Zsolnai, Fromm, Rawls, Schumacher, Sen and Koslowski).
