The goal of the course is to make familiar the students with the questions of the particular moral dilemmas of the information society. (Safety of data, right for the information; right for the free speech, and copyright in the environment of the new media.)

Tartalom angol

The aim of this course is to provide students with a thorough understanding of the achievements and the challenges of the information society and the related ethical questions. The guideline of each seminar will be the tension between information technologies and the system of knowledge, raising the problem of legitimacy of classic philosophical knowledge at the same time. We will deal with the concepts of public opinion and publicity, the ethical questions of journalism, the problems of advertising, violence, sexuality and the spreading of the Internet.
