Cél

Speciális zenetörténeti tapasztalatai alapján a hallgató alkalmas legyen arra, hogy segítse a tanulók tájékozódását a zeneművekben és zenetörténeti korokban.
Törekedjen a nemzeti kultúra értékeinek, hagyományainak átadására, képes legyen fogékonnyá tenni a zene befogadására.
Legyen tudatában a zene erkölcsi, nevelő hatásának, tartsa fontosnak a zenei élmény léleknemesítő hatását. Mindezek érdekében a tanulási folyamat kiegészítésére használja fel az iskolán kívüli kulturális események (így hangverseny, opera, színház, balett) lehetőségeit. A stúdiumnak fel kell tárnia a zenei kutatómunka lehetséges elektronikus és hagyományos könyvtári forrásait, információ bankjait, a zenei publicisztika alapvető követelményeit.

Cél angol

The goal of the course is to familiarise students with the most general areas of music history, and to give an overview of the stylistic characteristics of distinct historical periods. Through the general knowledge gained through the study of music history, the student should be able to call pupils’ attention to the relationship of music and other art fields and to use knowledge in an integrated way. With the help of their special knowledge in music history, they should guide pupils through specific works and periods in art. The student should strive to mediate the values and traditions of national culture and sensitivize students to respond to music. They should be aware of the pedagogical and moral effect of music, and should regard the educating effect of musical experience important. To achieve this aim, they should use extramural cultural events (concerts, operas, theatrical productions, ballet) as supplements to regular curriculum materials. The course also lets students get to know the electronic and traditional sources and information banks of music research, and the basic requirements of musical publication.

Két koncerten való részvétel és ehhez kapcsolódóan két házi dolgozat megírása. A kollokvium típusa: írásbeli és szóbeli.
